Minimal Maximalist: Our Design Journey with CMF
CMF was the cool new kid on the electronics block under Nothing. They came to us to build a landing page as sharp as their products–something that gives off that “gotta have” vibe. But not just a page; it had to tease the product before launch–create the hype, not just list features.
How can we make the pixels feel touchable? CMF products have this cool texture and precision to them. Yay! But that doesn’t translate to flat screens. We needed a page that felt detailed–even luxurious–without losing its minimalist charm.
We let CMF’s product be the star. So, we let go of the flashy colors and went for black and white. Those textures, angles, subtle hover effects…those design details took the spotlight. We made the screen feel almost interactive, hinting at how the product would feel in the customer’s hand. Instead of reading specs, visitors felt like they were zooming in on an art piece.
We couldn’t give everything away early. That’s no fun. Instead, the early page became a series of glimpses, textures, materials, and a hint of functionality, just enough to make techies want more. We created the online equivalent of a “limited edition” noise.
Every click and every reveal were carefully designed, just like CMF’s tech.
